Basic Cable: No receiver is necessary and all the TVs in your home will receive all of the basic channels.

Digital Cable: Requires a reciever of your choice. The TV where the receiver is placed will recieve the digital programming. Any TV without a receiver will still receive the basic channels. To view in High Definition a HD Receiver is required. This service also gives you acess to Pay-Per-View content.
