Guide to help you to set up Outlook Express to download your MINET email.

·  Open Outlook Express.

·  Click the Tools menu, then select the Accounts menu.

·  On the Internet Accounts window select the Mail tab at the top and then click on the Account name for your      MINET account. In this example the account is called mail.minetfiber.com

·  Check that your MINET account is set to the default account in the Type column. If your MINET account is not the default account then select it and click the Set as Default button.

·  Click the Properties button.

On the General tab type in your name as you want to appear in your emails in the Name field. For example Joe Bloggs, or Mr Joe Bloggs. The Organization field is optional and most frequently used for company names. In this example, because we are setting up a personal email account and so leave this field blank.

·  Check your email address is correctly entered in the Email Address field. If you don't know what your email address is, it is your username with @minetfiber.com on the end. For example if your username is joebloggs then your email address will be joebloggs@minetfiber.com

·  Fill in the email address you want your email sent back to in the Reply Address field. In most cases this is the same as your MINET email address.

·  Check that there is a check in the Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing check box.

·  Once you are done on this page, click onto the Servers tab.

·  The Incoming mail server should read mail.minetfiber.net

·  The Outgoing mail server should read as smtp.minetfiber.net

·  Type in your MINET User name in the Account name field.

·    Type in your MINET password in the Password field.

Please remember case sensitivity with your MINET password. In other words MINET sees PASSWORD (all capitals) and password (all smalls) as two different passwords belonging to two different people. So you need to be exact in your typing.

·  The Remember Password option should be selected if you want Outlook Express to download your email without stopping to ask you for your password first. If you leave this field blank then you will be prompted for a password every time Outlook Express tries to download your email.

·  You should not need to make any changes the Connection, Security or Advanced tabs.

For reference they should appear as the images below.

Congratulation!!! Your MINET email account is setup in Outlook Express.

Remember if you change your password at webmail.minetfiber.com you will need to update it in Outlook Express.
