Setting Up SMTP Authentication for Mac Mail
1. Open Mac Mail. Select Mail / Preferences.
2. Click the Accounts button, located at
the top of the window.

3. Click the Server Settings button near the bottom of the page...

4. Under Outgoing Mail Server, do the
following:
• In the Outgoing Mail
Server box,
enter the outgoing (SMTP) server: mail.minetfiber.net
• In the
field labeled 'Server Port' enter '465'
• Put a check
in the box labeled 'Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
• Be sure the Use Authentication
dropdown is set to 'Password'.
• In the User Name box, enter your
entire email address (e.g., user@minetfiber.com).
• In the Password box, enter the
password for your email account.
5. Click the Continue button, and Mail
will check the connection to make sure it succeeds. If there’s an error in
verifying your server setup, simply click Go Back to recheck your settings and make
sure everything is correct. If you are unable to complete setup without
clearing any errors you will need to contact Minet for further assistance.
6. When the setup process is done, you’ll
see a window that summarizes your connections. Click Done to finish the setup.
7. If you have more accounts to configure,
repeat the above steps, starting with a click of the plus sign in the Accounts
window, and you’ll be taken through the same set of setup screens.
Please Note : You will receive a notification regarding a Security Certificate when sending your email after setting up SMTP Authentication. Simply choose to accept the Security Certificate.
